Boston Bonanza and Picnic

Boston Bonanza and Picnic

Yesterday was the Midwest Boston Terrier Rescue’s Boston Bonanza and picnic at the beautiful Wood Dale Grove County Forest Preserve. It was a gorgeous day for it and lots of spunky Bostons came out for the event.

We adopted Daisy from Midwest Boston Terrier Rescue almost exactly two years ago.

The non-profit organization does so much good for so many Bostons, rescuing them from shelters and individuals and helping them to find their “furever” homes. Daisy’s foster mom was at the event yesterday with her two adorable Bostons, plus one she’s fostering right now who’s available for adoption.

Daisy being Daisy feigned interest in playing with some of the other dogs…

… but in reality, she preferred to roll around in the grass instead.

It wasn’t all about the dogs, though. The gracious volunteers grilled hot dogs and there was plenty of other picnic fare, but the best part was the Boston Terrier cupcakes!
